Back to the Front of Things

After what seems like a forever absence from everyday life, I find I am ready to carry on as normal. It is time to return to the creative life I so cherish and once again share with the world. Many of you know I choose to keep certain aspects of my life quiet and private; health has been one of them. However, that said I feel it important to share just a bit of the journey I have most recently lived.

While I will admit my absence was enlightening and a much needed break (without realizing it); it was not by choice that I halted in my tracks and slowed to almost a stand still. An unknown health issue provided me with months of constant pain, numerous diagnosis (all wrong), frustrations and above all fear.

In July My Love was able to attend one of my monthly appointments - it was then that the line in the sand was drawn; with a few carefully stated words my Doctor got the point...figure this out now. After numerous appointments, tests, exploratory procedures and prescriptions there was finally a light at the end of the tunnel. Only after a well of frustration bubbled over was I sent to a surgeon. A week later a diagnosis was established - 5 days later I had surgery and the roller coaster ride was over.

Needless to say it was a long hard journey but a journey all the same. A journey that was full of lessons, moments of reflection and quiet as well as treasured family time. This was perhaps one of the most enriching experiences for me spiritually. In all of this came a deeper compassion for human kind as well as a deeper to desire to share good and joy!

I am ever so thankful for all of the well wishes, support, love and reassurance I received - this was definitely the light in the dark days. I am more than thrilled to be back to my healthy self. Thrilled to be back in the studio and thrilled to be filled to the brim with happiness.
