I love having a routine. Amidst all of the hurriedness of life there is one time of day that feels as though it belongs only to me. Morning, very early morning that I greet while my family remains in slumber. I am an early riser; cherishing the first rays of sunlight beckoning me to begin my day. Morning is the offering of new opportunity rebirth if you will. After preparing my espresso and lighting the candle I make my way outside to sit amongst the wonder of nature.
English ivy abounds, and buds of Hydrangea that will soon grow into amazing orbs of color fill my view. Inspiring me, pushing me to absorb the moment at hand.
Seedlings that were planted oh so gently by little hands remind me of all the moments that have passed and the amazing gift of growth we are all given.
My pink babies as I have always called them are within my view purposefully as these belonged to my Grandmother who left us two years ago. Their ability to survive all conditions has become some what of a metaphor for my Grandmother's life.
And what some would call my wee piece of superstition......my fairy who looks as though she is pondering, dreaming and perhaps wishing. I refuse to remove her as wherever she has lived in the garden remains fruitful and abundant.
A wee glimpse into my morning, my ritual, my creative alone time. Wishing you all happiness and creativity today and all days.
Sounds so lovely and peaceful!

Hi Kristen. Your daily routine is wonderful. I manage the same thing about once a week if I'm lucky. I'm so glad summer is here now though. Summer will give me more opportunities to linger in the morning. Your sister is daydreaming mornings, Annie
