Collections
Michelle Ward has challenged us once again to reflect on an aspect of our lives, collections. It is no secret I adore romance and all that it signifies and encompasses. I pour over any book that has to do with Jane Austen. I am intrigued by the lifestyles and environment of the Regency and Victorian periods. Wouldn't it be fun to go back in time (only if you were guaranteed a return trip home) and spend a day with Jane Austen? I would love to know what it was truly like for her as a creative woman living in a world that really only recognized the success of men. Share your secrets with me! What do you adore collecting?
Experiences that lead to memories, that's what I like collecting (although I think my sweet hubbie would laugh about that, since he thinks I don't have a memory that works well.)

Oooo! I love Jane Austen too! I have a few of her novels. Collections??? hmmm. I'd say I don't have any because I'm a thrower but I sure have been collecting all bits of things since I started on this collage/mixed media/scrapbooking path.
Thanks for your kind words on my blog!

unmounted rubber stamps! Other than art supplies, I really don't have any collections. If I don't want to dust it, I won't buy it LOL I suppose that makes me a boring person. I think it would be fun to collect white pottery. Don't know why--I saw a collection on Flickr recently. Looked cool!

ooooh! LOVE JANE! i have re-read her so many times i started collecting the spin-offs and sequels by other authors...some good, some not-so-good. but great to have a little more. i also wonder what her life was like. one of my favorite things to do is draw a map of the towns and villages as i think they might look while reading her books.

Jane Austen is a great author- and I would love to time travel-as long as I could come back!

Yay, a fellow reader! And I've often thought how cool it would be to go back in time for a day! (great backdrop for the books as well)

Well you know I already collect way too many things! And I've spent much of my adult life collecting experiences - a never-ending quest. I like Jane Austen too. Have been to two places she lived in England. xo

I'm not really a collector, though I cobbled together a post and journal page on my modest collection of tigers for this challenge. I do collect books, mostly obscure European literature though i also like Jane Austin. However I pass on a lot of my books once I've read them so it's not really collecting...
