While I arrived home Monday night, life definitely did not slow down after a fun filled CHA. With hopes of tackling the studio and cleaning up the constant mess that now seems to grow (how does this happen), I arrived home to a very sick little man. It seems the flu arrived with a vengeance. While I indulged in a nap on Tuesday the rest of the week was been spent visiting the Doctor, Pharmacy and most importantly comforting my sweet little guy who has a cough that rivals any that he has ever had.
That said I cannot begin to express the excitement that I experienced with the launch of my new line Rue Romantique which is chock full of bezels, rhinestones, rosary chain, ribbon and to top it all off a flip book full of personal clip art (including some of my treasured family photos), projects with instructions and a plethora of images and words that I love to turn to. My stomach was filled with butterflies as another important goal on my list had been accomplished.
At the same time we (being ICE Resin) announced another new line - the brain child of Susan and Jen ICED Enamels. I can promise you it is not only an amazing product but will add a layer of creativity that is truly unbelievable. Be sure to hope over the IR site for an amazing video!
DAY ONE
All of this was much like the arrival of a first born however thankfully pregnancy does not last a year...a year well worth it but also a year of constant excitement and anticipation. Needless to say you get why my blog has been quiet between this and the new book life has been so amazingly packed full of fun.
The time at CHA was filled with warm moments with friends, giggles and laughter and of course lots of talking about the new line. I hope you enjoy the photos below as much as I enjoyed the moments forever captured.
The moment the show opened Jen and I looked at each other and said WOW it's official CHA 2013 has begun. I love this photo as we look so fresh and ready to capture the world. Thank you sweet Carol for snapping it.
The absolutely amazing and talented Cindy Cima Edwards and Cindi Bisson (ICE Resin Team Members), honored us with wonderful demos and happy smiles. Thank you, thank you!
Another amazing ICE Resin Team Member Alexis Grenzer joined us to Demo - Lexi is also the Studio Manager of A Work of Heart in San Jose where I LOVE to teach.
My dear friend and ICE Resin Special Projects Team MEmber Joanna Pierotti was there to share in the excitement and share her creativity by demoing away.
DAY TWO
Sadly I did not get to spend much time with my dear friend Debby Schuh it seemed we never found that perfect moment to sit and chat however I am thankful for the few minutes we did have together!
Yes I ALWAYS talk with my hands - if you missed the interview with Elena of Charity Wings click here to view it; it is always a joy to spend time with my darling friend. Be sure to watch to the end as she reveals another secret I have been holding onto.
I love this photo of us (Stacey Caron, Jen Cushman and Myself) in front of the amazing collaboration of Susan with Spellbinders - what fun it was to see the launch of Mixed Media Mixage featuring Susan as the first designer. I could not imagine a more amazing artist to begin with.
So proud of Carol who at this same time last year announced she was not artistic or really interested in creating - fast forward to a year later and Carol is creating away and being published. Here she is showing her wonderful work in Spellbinders new flip book....LOVE IT!!!!
So excited to run into two of my fav ladies Pam Carriker and Mary Beth Shaw, I adore these two they are so real and so kind not to mention Uber talented.
Left to Right Front Row - Alexis Grezner, Joanna Pierotti, Me Back Row Samie Harding, Susan Walls and my constant partner in fun Ruth Rae. Photo by Alexis Genzer
It is not an ICE Resin dinner without mustaches, a tradition Jen began last year and we just have to continue.......Susan Walls (another ICE Resin team member) joined in the fun demoing her wonderful work and sharing great tips. Samie produces our videos - we love her as she makes us look so good!
I feel like Susan should be signing a loud Italian tune about a lost love and a longing heart, while Jen looks rather suspicious.
DAY THREE
On the my final day I started the day by teaching let me just say WOW in 1.5 hours I crammed a lot in - remember anyone who was in class be sure to email me with any questions what so ever. After a turbo trip to the booth it was time to depart for the airport. Two planes and 7 hours later I was home!
To see more fun photos as well as shots of those I missed visit the ICE Queen Zine
